The Drama Troupe of Ugyen Academy along with the escort teachers left for Thimphu on 15th August.

A grand opening was given by the school for the first ever National Drama Festival in Bhutan with the

play 'Tryst with King Lear'. The troupe was appreciated by Honorable Lyonchen, Education Minister

and other dignitaries. in the evening, the alumni students gathered and hosted a small program for

the troupe. On 17th Drama Troupe returned.
