The family of Ugyen Academy attended the Moenlam Chenmo for the prayer ceremony and received blessings from His Holiness the Jekhenpo to Commemorate his majesty’s 10 years on the golden throne.

At the event held from 2nd to 5th of December 2016 at CMS Gomti Nagar Campus I in Lucknow, India, more than 600 students participated from 16 countries. Our team bagged bronze medals in both senior and middle categories in Individual Contests. The team in the senior category consisting of Thinley Dhendup, Punam Rai, and Ngawang Yeshi also bagged bronze Medals in the Mathematics Fair.

The junior students (Classes VII & VIII) of Ugyen Academy had their yearly study tour. This year they visited Khamsum Yuley Namgyal chorten

The day is celebrated to mark the birth anniversary of His Majesty the Fourth King. As a token of gratitude the junior students staged marvelous cultural program dedicated to their parents.

Swimming is a form of sport and a water-based exercise which can be beneficial to joints and muscles while still providing strength, endurance, cardiovascular health and flexibility training.

U_16 Students won the Dzongkhag cricket championship.

Students in 12th and 10th standards displayed charts and models representing academic content.

The much-awaited concept of 21st century classroom was formally inaugurated by Dasho Principal.

UAFC mini stadium with artificial turf was inaugurated by Honourable Yab Dasho Ugyen Dorji.

Congratulations to our U15 football team (Boys) for winning the Dzongkhag Youth Championship and also U12 football team (Boys) for making Runners up in Dzongkhag Youth Festival held at UA.

UA staff volleyball team won the Sherig Thendral Volleyball Super League Tournament conducted by Tashidingkha Middle Secondary School.

Team Ugyen Academy has been declared the winner of the Bhutan Audition of CMC QUIZ MANIA Season 5: SAARC Level, held at Ugyen Academy. 12th September 2016.

Cycling Race

With students rowing the boat, screaming, laughing, and enjoying every bits of the adventurous sail. Students find no need to adjust their sail for what beholds in front of the bravest is the adventure.

U.A was blessed to have Paro Anand. She is the author of 25 books for children and young adults including plays, short stories, novellas and novels.

Ugyen Academy conducted Basic English Language Test (BELT) for the monks of Talo Sheydra.

The first round of Annual Rimdro was consecrated today in Ugyen Academy led by the Machey Zimpoen. It was mainly conducted for the well being of the entire family of Ugyen Academy and all sentient being.

The new comers expressed their appreciation and paid token of gratitude to the senior students for the welcome.
