116th National Day Celebration in Punakha

UA proudly hosted the 116th National Day Celebration in Punakha. For the first time, a record number of people from Punakha and Wangdue had gathered in UA's new astro turf stadium.

UA alumni not only dominate in sheer numbers of successful candidates but also clinch the top ranks, with a notable achievement being a dozen MBBS candidates, including 2 toppers from AIIMS.

UA’s alumni Miss Yeshey Seldon (Scientist) makes headlines

24 years old Yeshey Seldon is studying Masters in Geophysics at University of Texas, El Paso, USA and she is with group of researchers studying the ever melting glaciers of Antarctica. She is the first Bhutanese to travel to the South Pole!

Result 1st Prize of Nu. 20000/- Kinley Deki Yangzom, (UA’s National Class X - 2nd Topper 2022, Studying in Singapore International School of Bangkok - SISB  and 2nd Prize of Nu.15000/- is won by Eden Lucky Tshomo, Class X (Ugyen Academy Higher Secondary School, Punakha) – she is also National Topper of class X 2023

The "YARNEY," a 45-day summer retreat, concluded with a spectacular display of spirituality and devotion, leaving hearts touched and souls uplifted.

Led by the revered Chabje Geden Rinchen Trulku (Rimpoche), more than 200 dedicated monks embarked on a sacred journey on foot to Khuruthang, Punakha and UA Family received the entourage in the assembly ground
