UA emerges as NUMBER 1 by topping the National Level Zumba Competition: 2022 conducted by DYS, MoE for amongst the 83 Higher secondary schools in the country

Miss Sonam and Miss Eva Somel Yangzom has been selected to participate in a week-long program, the ICC Asia U19 100 % Scholarship Program - held in Kathmandu, Nepal: October 23, 2022.

Yarney Reception for the first time in Punakha

UA Family receives blessing from the rimpoche(s), Khenpos, Lamas and Monks of Talo and Nalanda Monastries. For the first time, they chose to walk for more than 20Ks to bless all sentient beings after the 45 days annual summer retreat (Yarney).

Summer High School Basketball Tournament: 2022

Team Raiders (Boys) and Team Phoneix (Girls) for emerging the winners of the first ever Summer High School Basketball Tournament: 2022 organized by Chang Basketball Center (CBC), Thimphu. Our apologies for not permitting you all to use the school name as we did not get an official letter for participation. Anyways, it was heartwarming to hear that both (Boys/Girls) teams emerged as the undisputed CHAMPS.

Ugyen Academy family gets Lam Penjor as “Sungkhop

Coinciding with the “First Sermon of Lord Buddha”, Lam Penjor (former Lam of Khuruthang Monastery) joins Ugyen Academy family as the “Sungkhop”. Lam Penjor hails from Jabana, Paro and has served in the Central Monastic Body for over three decades.
